Mexico and Germany strengthen cooperation on clean energy and technology
A high-level meeting between Luz Elena González Escobar, Mexico's Minister of Energy, and Anke Rehlinger, President of the German Bundesrat, focused on the strategic expansion of solar, wind and geothermal projects, the development of green hydrogen, and training and education for the energy transition.
Mexico benefits from its geographical location for the production of renewable energies, while Germany contributes technological and financial expertise. Together, both countries are pursuing the goal of reducing emissions and laying the foundation for a sustainable, secure energy future. This meeting highlights the importance of long-standing bilateral energy cooperation, which has already resulted in numerous joint projects in the areas of efficiency, smart grids and sustainable mobility.
