Germany and Saudi Arabia agree to intensify energy policy cooperation
German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Katherina Reiche and Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on enhanced cooperation in the energy sector. The agreement builds on previous agreements, covers all energy sectors as well as chemicals, and focuses on carbon management, energy efficiency, digitalization, cybersecurity, AI, sustainable supply chains, public-private partnerships, and corporate cooperation. Implementation will take place through the exchange of experience, delegation visits, joint research, and specialist events.
The aim is to deepen the energy partnership and promote stability, growth, and technological cooperation.
