Green & Energy

Everyone wants climate protection - why are we still not making progress?

Kevin Knitterscheidt 17.06.2025 47:52

Which technologies play a key role in securing a climate-neutral energy supply and how do bilateral climate and energy partnerships contribute to this?

Kevin Knitterscheidt, Head of News at Handelsblatt, and Dr Falk Bömeke, Head of Division General Issues of Bilateral Climate and Energy Cooperation at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, talk about this in the latest episode of the Handelsblatt Green & Energy podcast.

To ensure energy security even in times of crisis, a broad and diversified network of supplier countries is essential. The bilateral climate and energy partnerships act as important enablers in this regard: they open doors for political dialogue with partner countries at both governmental and business levels.

In addition, the partnerships promote direct exchange between private-sector actors. The focus is on facilitating market access, introducing new technologies, and fostering comprehensive knowledge sharing.

Together with our partners, we are working to become more resilient and secure the energy supply with renewable energies.  Read more about the goals and work priorities of the 33 global partnerships.
